The MIFARE DESFire® series is a high-end passive contactless smart card chip platform launched by NXP. Fully compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and ISO/IEC 7816 international standards, it serves as the core solution for financial-grade and enterprise-level high-security identification worldwide.

Based on a unified underlying architecture, the series features financial-grade encryption, multi-application partitioned storage, and strong anti-cloning & physical attack resistance. As a secure upgrade alternative to the Classic series, it is widely used in scenarios with strict requirements for security, capacity, and scalability.

• MIFARE DESFire® EV1
  The first-generation flagship model — a classic high-end solution. Supports multi-application partitioning, AES-128/3DES encryption and mutual authentication with mainstream memory capacities. Mature, stable and highly compatible; the classic choice for enterprise access control and identity authentication.
• MIFARE DESFire® EV3
  The third-generation flagship and current mainstream high-end option. Comprehensively enhanced security protection, faster communication speed, superior anti-interference and physical attack resistance vs. EV1. Supports advanced security features — suitable for stringent scenarios such as financial payment and government identification.
• MIFARE DESFire® EV3C
  An optimized version of DESFire EV3. Retains the core security architecture and performance while optimizing costs — balancing security, performance and cost for mid-to-high end general high-security applications.
• MIFARE DESFire® XL
  The ultra-high capacity version designed for large data storage and multi-application integration. Provides 32KB / 64KB of ultra-large user memory to meet the data storage and permission management needs of complex systems.
• MIFARE DESFire® Light (17PF or 50PF)
  The entry-level lightweight model of the series. Simplifies some high-end functions while retaining the core security features of the DESFire series — offering a low-cost entry solution for high-security requirements.
