NXP ICODE® Series RFID Cards are 13.56 MHz high-frequency (HF) passive chips complying with ISO/IEC 15693. Powered entirely by the reader's RF field with no internal battery, they feature long-distance reading and multi-tag anti-collision capability. The series includes four core models, widely used in smart retail, asset management, logistics and access control. All models offer ≥100,000 write cycles and ≥10-year data retention.

Standard model compliant with ISO/IEC 15693. Suitable for smart retail, library management, and basic asset tracking.
Cost-optimized variant with reduced memory for high-volume, price-sensitive applications such as retail item-level tagging and simple logistics labeling.
Advanced security model with AES-128 authentication and SUN message support. Ideal for brand protection, anti-counterfeiting, and high-security asset management.
Industrial-grade long-range model with extended read range and robust multi-tag anti-collision. Suited for warehouse automation, industrial asset tracking, and supply chain management.

Both are 13.56MHz HF chips from NXP, but ICODE follows ISO/IEC 15693 (longer read range, suited for item-level tagging and libraries), while MIFARE follows ISO/IEC 14443 (shorter range, suited for access control and payment).
ICODE 3 for general retail and library use. SLIX-L for high-volume low-cost tagging. DNA for AES-128 security and anti-counterfeiting. ILT/ILT-M for industrial long-range scanning.
Typically up to 1 meter with standard readers; ILT/ILT-M extends this further for industrial environments.
ISO 15693 is not natively supported by most smartphones for reading — a dedicated HF RFID reader is typically required. ICODE DNA also supports NFC Forum Type 5 for limited smartphone interaction.
